Episerver Acquires Insite Software

Digital experience company Episerver has signed an agreement to acquire B2B commerce leader Insite Software. The deal comes on the heels of Episerver’s November 2019 acquisition of Idio and their December 2019 hiring of Alex Atzberger as CEO.
Episerver paired with Insite aims to accelerate commerce functionality and deliver customer-centric digital experiences in order to understand customers, grow a brand and uncover new revenue. Insite customers can benefit from Episerver’s global footprint and Customer-Centric Digital Experience Platform and Episerver customers can benefit from Insite’s focus on B2B and purpose-built solutions. “We saw a big opportunity to deliver greater value to the underserved trillion-dollar B2B commerce market, which is set to surpass B2C retail sales by two-fold next year,” said Adam Berger, Chairman of Episerver in a statement.
Insite’s B2B e-Commerce platform, product information management (PIM), analytics, mobile and product catalog products are designed to make it easier for the people managing B2B organizations and the people interacting with them. Recognized by Forrester and other analysts as a leader in B2B “Commerce Suites”, Insite aims to reduce the complexity of B2B that can initially be a deterrent to companies looking to make a full digital transformation.
